Kate Payne (Chair of Governors)

Having lived in Bath all my life and raising my children here, I have strong roots in the local community. My children attended Palladian Schools giving me first-hand experience of the important role schools play in supporting young people and their families.

I have over ten years' experience as a school governor, most of these were as Chair of Governors, and I am passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their potential.

Professionally, I have worked at Bath Spa University for 20 years. As Partnerships Manager, I work closely with schools to secure placements for trainee teachers and support the delivery of high-quality teacher education.

Alongside my professional and governance roles, I recently completed a degree in Computing and IT with the Open University, demonstrating my commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
