Acer Class - Year 4

Welcome to Acer Class!

Welcome to year 4 Acer class! We are a curious and enthusiastic class who love to challenge ourselves and celebrate our learning. We take great pride in mastering our times tables and enjoy finding new ways to practise and improve our skills every day. Reading is at the heart of our classroom, and we love getting lost in exciting stories, discovering new authors, and sharing our favourite books with one another. Our curiosity about the world shines through in our history and geography learning, where we enjoy exploring different times, places, and cultures. We ask thoughtful questions, make connections, and love finding out how the past and present shape the world around us. 

Our PE days are Thursday and Friday this term. We will be doing a range of activities from Tag rugby to Fitness circuits.  

Please bring your child’s reading book and record to school every day, but especially Friday’s so their book can be changed if needed.  

Term 4 -

Year 4 have had a busy and productive term 4, showing great enthusiasm across the curriculum. In Geography, they explored how rivers are used around the world, while in Science they investigated how sound is created through vibrations using practical experiments. In English, pupils worked hard to write their own news articles, focusing on structure, formal language, and key features. In Maths, they developed their understanding of fractions, building confidence in recognising and working with them. Overall, the class have made excellent progress and should be proud of their efforts this term.
