Ash Class - MCC

Welcome to Ash Class 

We are excited to share the wonderful learning that takes place in our multisensory curriculum classroom, where books, curiosity, and individual interests truly come to life. Our approach prioritises communication, life skills, shared attention, and problem solving, building strong foundations for our children as they move through the MCC pathway. A key focus for us is ensuring every child feels heard and has a voice, and we support this through a total communication approach so that our learners feel understood, valued, and able to express themselves in the way that works best for them. 

Each day, the children take part in Little Wandle phonics sessions, reading, maths, and writing lessons, alongside structured TEACCH activities that support focus, independence, and lifeskills development.  

We are always here to offer support, answer questions, and celebrate successes with you. Please feel free to stay in contact with us and share any concerns, as well as any wonderful wins from home. Your insight and partnership are invaluable.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  

• PE is every Wednesday and Friday.  

• Reading folders need to be in school every day so we can hear the children read, change of books every Thursday 

• SNACK - please provide a suitable snack for your child. (We are a NUT free school) 

• Please could you send a spare set of clothes in your child’s bag, as we often get wonderfully messy and aprons aren’t always available and wanted
