School Meals will cost £2.60 per day from 30th October 2017

School Dinners

From April 2014 we catered our own meals in our own kitchen so all school lunches are freshly cooked on the premises every day by our excellent catering team.  Please note: From 30th October 2017 ~ School meals will cost £2.60 per day.

Children can, of course, bring their own packed lunches and we encourage healthy lunchboxes - sweets and fizzy drinks are strictly off the menu!

Fruit is provided for a mid-morning snack and children may also purchase healthy snacks from the kitchen.  Parents are asked to provide a piece of fruit for an afternoon snack.

We are proud of our large, bright  dining hall where the children can enjoy their meal in a pleasant, sociable atmosphere.  Lunch time for Reception and infant children is at 12.00 pm and for juniors at 12.30 pm. They are supervised by our friendly team of lunchtime assistants, who encourage the children to eat a good, healthy meal.

From September 2014 every child in Reception and Key Stage 1 is entitled to a hot free school meal. The Government is funding a hot meal for all these pupils under the Universal Free School Meals programme.  If you would like your child to participate in this programme and have a free hot meal, please let the Teacher or School office know.  It could save you upto £380 per year.

Free school meals received because of benefit entitlement are still available for all pupils. If you think you are entitled to Free School Meals because of Benefit entitlement;  please ask Miss Humphries in the school office for further information and an application form. Please apply even if your child has sandwiches as this will help the school receive additional funding through the Government's "Pupil Premium" scheme.
